Mog (also known as MogHunter), has an amazing array of plugins<\/a>. We use a few of them. One of them lets us have weather of any kind. We use it for leaves falling, sparks flying, snow, you name it. In this example, you can see three types of pedals floating in the wind in Sugar Shade, a town full of creatures made of candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also use weather in a unique way – to present the smells of the world. In this scene, all the kitchen smells of the mess hall appear. The kitchen smells different based on what foods you bring into Treetop Village:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also use Mog’s particle and shatter effects – the particle effects are used for waterfalls, spurting water, fires, and sparks. Here you can see it in water leaks on a ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also use a character shatter effect for items (because we have a separate one for monsters). We aren’t showing that because we want to preserve some surprises… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
